    2. Due to lack of knowledge beyond basic.

    3. Or they are more interested in providing personal training which many cannot simply afford.

The other category is that of people who are seasoned weight training exercisers doing it for some time.

Those people are stuck up as they are not making progress beyond a certain point.

They simply do not know from whom to seek information as the trainers in their gym themselves may not have adequate knowledge. In fact many trainers are not qualified.

Then it may not be reliable.

There may be conflicting views by different persons

The information on internet is flooded with technical jargons giving technical names of muscles etc. with which the common man is not conversant.

The fact proved by studies and research has shown that weight training is safe and most benefacial for people of all ages irrespective of their age and gender if done properly.

Cardiovascular exercise are simpler to execute than weight training exercises. Once or twice a person runs a machine and he can master or the art of doing it.

Is cardio more popular due to this factor.

Then the age old principle comes into playing.
