Some Important Concepts Relevant in Weight Training
The Human body always desires to be in the state of stability which is called Homeostasis. Resistance training places stress on muscles which they are not accustomed to. This disrupts the body’s state of stability. The brain in turn sends signal to the body that the existing muscles are not strong enough to handle the additional stress placed on the body. The body then start remodeling its existing cells and tissues to grow bigger muscles.
This is how muscles grow.
